HISTORY
In 1939, C. R. Yancey opened a small fruit stand. Since then, Yancey's has grown into a company with more than 200 employees and over 4,000 line items. Our service area now includes independent accounts in northern Colorado, western Nebraska and southern Wyoming and chain accounts throughout Colorado. Yancey's has endured many changes over the years, but our philosophy has always remained the same: Quality products, dedication and service will make us successful.

As an independently owned and operated company, Yancey's can make decisions quickly and respond to your needs almost immediately. Our food service consultants are more than just sales people. They are trained to help you save money, increase food quality and make your business more efficient and profitable.

QUALITY
All of our products are backed by a 100% guarantee, when used within shelf life. We sell top brands as well as our own CODE brand. We receive produce directly from the grower/shipper and receive produce deliveries three times per week, preserving freshness and shelf life.

PRO*ACT and UNIPRO
Pro*Act and UniPro are our two buying cooperatives. The buying power of these cooperatives ensures consistent quality and competitive pricing. Pro*Act is a cooperative of produce distributors. Through sharing experience and wisdom with other members, we develop high standards of safety and quality in produce. UniPro is the largest foodservice distribution cooperative in the United States, with more than 200 members. UniPro provides us access to foodservice products from over 800 manufacturers, and UniPro produces the widely recognized CODE label.

FOOD SAFETY
Food Safety is a priority at Yancey's. Our quality assurance team checks perishables on a daily basis. A recall program works to identify and track products that need to be recalled. Receiving, storage and shipping procedures are in place to implement safety standards and a HACCP program keeps safety a top priority. Yancey's recently received an ASI rating of 'excellent'.

VARIETY
With over 4,000 items to choose from, you'll find what you need and more on-hand in our warehouse, ready to ship to you. Choose from dry goods as well as refrigerated and frozen products. Of course, we also offer a full selection of produce, including specialty produce.

OUR FACILITY
We moved to our brand new state-of-the-art distribution facility in April, 2003. At over 100,000 square feet, the new facility includes refrigerated docks, an ammonia refrigeration system, computer software with radio frequency capabilities and the ability for future expansion. A full test kitchen and 5,000 square foot conference center provide us with ample space for meetings, product demonstrations and presentations.
